THe first one is the tddi one, with cutouts 10mm, the second is tdci flywheel, with 5mm tabs sticking out.

can you see the cut outs from the starter hole mate? Also sent that guy a pm from the other site. He said he rang the garage for me and they said it started, ran for 5-8 secs, revved up then died. Exactly the same as me.... May be in look then. Do you think its worth the effort tho? I think that the 85 could be remapped to possibly 100-115? so the 115 could possibly be mapped to 130-135?

Still curious. whats easiest way to remove the fly on a tranny? Engone out or gearbox out?

Whats the cheapest pcm coder out there? Also tried the bay for tis but couldnt find/work out what i needed.

Right took the starter off the mondeo today ... It has this fly wheel on it. It has 10mm tabs but its different to the tranny one.. Could this be my problem do you think?

just been to check and i have a new luk dmf which when i bought was told it was for a tdci mondeo but then on stripdown found out it wasnt the same as what was fitted! have now concluded that the flywheel is for a tddi mondeo as the transit dmf is a lot beefier in comparison, a lot heavier, and the timing lugs on a mondeo are on a sperate plate thats bolted to the dmf. so if u think about it the pcm may not even be getting a signal from crank sensor unplug it then crank and she if it does the same would pinpoint if it is a pickup problem

cheers for the reply mate. So the one you have has 10mm TABS so to speak? I have re-fitted the tranny stuff now but i will try it tomoz any ways. Out of interest if it is the case, are you selling the flywheel you have spare?

yes mine is the same as pictured. (bit confused now)so yours is a tddi then not tdci?

my tranny is a 2.0 tddi 04 plate mate and the mondeo "donor" (took pcm,injectors and pump from) is i 2.0 tddi 115ps 51 plate.. So the 2 tddi's use different flywheels...

The guy on the other forum i posted the link to, fitted the tdci fly by mistake and got the same faults as me.

Do you have a photo of a tddi tranny fly by any chance?

maybe because of the readings the pcm is getting(if any). have u tried disconnecting the crank sensor to see if it does the same?

im planning on disconnecting it tomorrow and see what happens. As said tho, its all back together now tho and running on the 85ps transit stuff... My goal is to have it running at 115ps on the mondeo stuff.

Need to find a mondeo flywheel now tho, as the one i showed you in the pic is knackered.

just been thinking that the flywheel i mentioned that was heavier is for the rwd transit. both the mondeo and transit are fwd arent they so they will have the lighter one? are the crank sensors different for transit/mondeo? not sure.

crank sensors are the same on both mate.. Im now wondering if i can fit an external pickup ring to the crank pulley and making a crank sensor holder..

so to sum it up the transit engine packed in and u got a donor mondeo to swap everything over? whats happened to the transit flywheel? was it the same as the one fitted now or do u not know/have it? if u did have it could u swap the ring gear from one to the other as there only riveted on? everytime u connect the mondeo pcm and wiring the engine starts then dies but runs fine on transit pcm/wiring?

wasnt sure myself when i changed mine but on the tdci it only has one space(no metal) which i assume is the pickup part. think the tddi has 2 pulses whereas the tdci just 1 if ya get what i mean. puzzled with this one though as there both tddi
