its hard work finding a stud these days of changing breed standards and health checks i had a 2400 mile round trip to the last dog i used
theres going to be a few dogs in certain breeds withdrawn now after todays events i think glad i dont have a bernard entered
i used to have a landseer bitch she was a nut job  i steer clear of hairys now though. but still lost 5 danes last year :(
dont forget your sandwiches its £2.50 for a pie in there
i have bacon and egg mayo
chicken salad and chicken mayo
good luck to you too dude 8)
theres only 171 danes entered but 2 of them are mine and i am only taking 1 so that will improve my chances

One of my customers who is an Electrician has an 08 plate mk 7. On Tues night, it was broken into without a sign of any noise or damage and stuff stolen. He thinks a cloned key was used. This seems to be quite a problem emerging with MK7s.
He has now devised an alarm which will go off as soon as the doors are opened, either with a key or without. Only he knows the code to de-activate the time delay.

Park overnight with the drivers door up against a wall and hop out the passenger door.

Cheap but effective against lock picking into the cab.

I'm vanless
I had a 57 LWB medium roof in immaculate condition and it was stolen from outside my house in south london.
No alarm went off and no glass
the road is a dead end and there were recent scuff marks on the road like a big 4 wheel trailer had done a three point turn (police dismissed as circumstancial)

I have the only two keys and the van was used and maintained in the midlands so no chance of duplicate keys.
I figured the the van was trailered away as there was room to get a trailer rig in front (unusual in london)
reading your post I'm now not sure

My problem is I only had the van for three weeks and was a new customer to the insurance company.
The insurance company has stone walled me for 6 weeks and now say over the phone what happened to my van is impossible. I'm sure they are lining me up to turn my claim down

Can anyone say for sure if the alarm would go off if pulled on a trailer??
Does anbody know of a similar instance so I can have something tangible to get back at my Insurance company with

cheers

Surely if there is hard evidence these vans are so easy to get into then it should be ford who cough up not the insurance companies. Going through the insurance is only going to push up your premiums when they are already too high anyway. Surely with the amount of people on here who have had their vans taken, found it with no damage and all their possessions in have a very strong case to take ford to task on it. There should be no need for after market alarms and extra locks when ford, on their own website state this:

•Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) that disables the engine when your key is removed from the ignition and will only prime the engine when it recognises your uniquely coded key
•High-security shielded locks with strengthened mountings and the unique lock-in-latch system to prevent door lock tampering and unauthorised access

A case for the trade descriptions act? Clearly false advertising. Out of interest, has anyone contaced ford about this?

Mine went last tuesday with no disturbance etc. Was found the next morning by coincidence and there was no damage to any of the locks and it had clearly been driven away as there was a witness who watched it being parked.

There is definitely a rising problem with these! When i get it back from forensics it is getting sold and a new one being bought with dead locks all round and a 2 stage alarm with engine immobiliser.

I do not trust the security on the fords anymore but to be honest i dont think any of the other vans available are any better.

Secondary security is going to be the only way to keep these vans

Tracker system? This would recognise vehicle movement if moved without the engine running and you ( vehicle owner) gets a call from control room to let you know.

Surely a worthwhile investment??
