It was being used to ticket a Peugeot 306 at that time, as he had a big bore exhaust and decat fitted....

that will be down to noise levels. and because it was petrol.

Actually, the offence of "incomplete exhaust was used"... due to the cat being missing. Sound levels were not tested.

As above really, loads of people seem to want to de-cat their vans but don't want to spend hours bashing the crap out of it.

I'm sure there's some money to be made once the first one has been made and a jig has been made.

Good news.

All the diesels I've ever driven run out of revs before they do any damage to themselves.

Ok, ive been in and dropped my van off this morning. spoke to john at pptuning and he tells me they are going to be making decats for both the 07-09 and 00-06 model transits and full systems for the 07-09 all to send out as they are jigging them.
He also doing the same for the connect like mine.Nothing on prices yet but he did say any members from the forum could get a discount All there stuff is stainless steel and mandrel bent or compression bent and stainless mig or tig welded and in my opinion top notch
They already have some stuff for other vans namely transporters on ebay which is were it hink he said they going to sell the transit ones.

Yes we are, we are going to make both decats and systems for the new transit.
I don't have any details of a price as yet as we have only just got it in to do, but i will have soon once they are done, i think xmas will hold us up a little but will be in the new yr for sure.
The flanges will be laser cut and the pipework will be stainless steel also.
Will confirm prices to you as soon as we have them made.

They make this system similar to the one fitted to psv-hgv'flt's MK6. Either fitted or mail order.



They will also do induction kits for various Transits.

Regarding the legality of removing the 'cat', it seems that MOT's won;t be an issue and that VOSA won't be concerned about it either, but you should tell your insurance co as it is a modification to the vehicle. I'm not sure what the implications are regarding warranty.
