So you disconnected the relay, and it runs fine on LPG ? New relay then surely ?!

I lied,it transpires that my Transit still wont sit on idle while running on LPG, ive had this van a year now, and this problem is very annoying , looks like im am going to have to give in and spend to much money at an LPG specialist, i really do throw the towl in now .Apart from the idle , the van works fine , although very slow and under powered, it does go alright but not exactly quick, and if i get to a hill im down to 45 sometimes on the motoway, the fastest it goes is 85 mph.

Hi Mate, did you clean everything out...................distributor ?change plugs.Step up relays, check fuses in dash, change RPM filter ,clean MAF sensor etc etc.I know we have spoken before, but I am not going back through all the LPG posts. If I havn`t sent you all the info that I have,I can but it takes me time and money to print it all out,so I now charge £20.00 to send it all out, just to cover costs.Quite a lot of info there though.

Couldnt tell you the miles per tank on petrol Matty, but does 225 on £50 gas , i dont know what that equates to .

I havnt clened any parts, just wasted money on a new rpm filter is all, the van runs great with no problems until i either slow down or stop, and even then its not all the time ,the rpm will flutuate and then steady off or die, the other small problem is thats it doesnt seem to switch back to petrol very well, i have to hold the switch down for over 3 minutes before the petrol stays on constant , this is to avoid cutting out at junctions in town .

Came back from a 200 mile journey on lpg , cost £38 because i drove a 60mph instead of 70 . :D

But still cuts out at junctions , other times it works fine , i have no idea what it is . :(

The van hasnt had any cleaning of parts ,i very reluctant to start taking things off, simply because the van performs without fault except when slowing down to stop, the rpm gets confused, it almost stops then hessitates, sometimes it sorts itself out and ticks over nice , but on the hole it just cuts out , the LPG firms wont give any adice , they just want me to bring it in and pay £135 for a diagnostic check.

PS I PUT A NEW RPM FILTER in and it still does the same , i think i could have been sold a faulty RPM filter , butthst doubtfull.

Do you think i should strip the stepper motor down .

Yes I think that you should clean the stepper motor.Have you ever changed the filters or cleaned the MAF unit.

:? :? If it`s running fine as it is,why post that it cuts out at low revs etc That`s not "running fine "to me!!Just try cleaning the components first ie the stepper motor.Really you need to replace the o`rings inside but you won`t get them before the weekend. There are already plenty of links stating where to obtain parts from.

Sorry if i was confusing issues, what i meant by running fine was that appart from the idle the van runs absolutely perfect all the time on lpg, but it often cuts out when i slow down and stop, but not all the time ,very often i will idle fine to ,thanks for the advice.

I took it off and cleaned it , and the van still cuts out sometimes at junctions etc, i find the problem is not having any form of diagram as to where parts to the lpg are on the van ,for example where is the stepper motor lol, having lpg is a real head ache when it goes wrong.
