I don't want to put you out in any way, it should only takes 10 minutes or so to undo the manifold nuts 8) going to order the new one tomorrow evening when I get paid, the kit is new turbo, manifold, gaskets, nuts, boots ect all for £190 8)

Did you use the old oil supply pipe, looks a bit rusty, how's your van running with the 140 turbo fitted, was the 130 turbo a variable vane turbo?
Runs just the same mate straight swap electronic vnt turbskie for electronic vnt turbskie
That pic is from a vacum actuated turbo that was on the engine that i swapped into Bettsie but 2.2 only has 3 bolts holes which sounds much diff from yours

Wish mine was a 3 bolt jobbie, be much easier, the snail on this van is built into the exhaust manifold,

That looks very similar to the Mk1 Focus 1.8D setup, it was a bit fiddly to change

Decided to brave breaking the lockdown and went to the local washbay for a hose down.
Looks a lot better but she's too big for the bay so the problem with that is having a short length there's not enough length for a reach round, so most is shiny clean but my back doors still need a scrub.

Always had an annoying sound like the window was open slightly at 50mph+ even though it wasn't. Turned out the quarterlight window wasn't sealed in to the frame properly and the gap was causing air to rush inside the window frame. If I pushed the window from the inside it would move about 10mm outwards! Perfect day for packing the frame with windscreen sealant, clamping it together in plenty of places and sealing all the gaps. I'd already done the external leading edge of the frame and this pic is the internal rubber seal where the noise of the air was coming through.

Finally got round to doing the oil and filter change, and what a blessing to do, all done in under 30 minutes, what a blessing
Though new filter came with an o ring, one didn’t come off so one didn’t go back on
Air and fuel filter this weekend, just got to remember to put fuel in the filter before putting it back on tho got plenty of ref lying around as can’t be assed to go garage for just half a pint lol..

Since it's not going anywhere fro a few days decided to use the carpet/upholstery cleaner on the drivers seat.

 it has the same cloth on it as the passenger seat :o

Did take the complete tank of cleaner and a tank of clean water to get to the point where detergent stopped foaming up on the cloth.
Remembered to do th eseatbelt too.
Now it can dry while I hunt for a slow coolant leak and do a service.
Cleaning the sensors and a fresh air filter should cut down on the black smoke.
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small
