I mopped up the water which ran out of the headlining and onto the radio , it is by far the "Leakiest " vehicle I have ever owned

Check the front edge of the gutters and seams up the roof panel from the windscreen for cracking sealant

My headlights have been getting more and more opaque over the last couple of years, so I decided to take them out and give the lenses a deep polish with T-Cut today. After two or three applications, and a good polish, they are much clearer.
I took the opportunity whilst they were out, to replace the H4 bulbs with some super bright variants, and replace the LED sidelight bulbs which fell apart as I removed them.

I also fitted another different temp sensor whilst it was easy to get at, the one that I fitted previously was very random and inaccurate, this one, although it looks the same, has a different part number, so we'll see if it's a bit more accurate.

I'll have to wait for a night time drive to see if the headlights are any better 8)

Drove mine up quite a steep hill made out of massive rocks a quarter the size of the wheels. Just missed making it to the top as forgot to turn off ESP and stalled less than a vans length from the top.
Really must add the automatic function of turning off ESP when in 4wd to the shift system programming Image

Drove it for the second time in a week, 44 degrees inside the cab, it felt weird not seeing the bonnet infront of me  need to tidy it out for work tomorrow.

Spent Saturday grinding/rubbing off surface rust and Kurusting it all.

Yesterday, drove down to the in-laws and got help from the father in-law to fill and prime one side. Just got to find tie to do the passenger side now!

(Note that this is patching up surface rust, not a decent or pro respray!)

Took the camper for its mot, failed on the ball joint boots being split, a brake light was out (was fine last week when I checked them  ) and one of the indicators wasn't orange enough

Happened on mine mate they stick and don't release so the cable just goes slack. Way to see is release the handbrake then go to the caliper lever and manually try and pull the lever and on mine it would move a good half inch.

I ended up working it on a vice and spraying wd40 on it although it is probably sealed. I then bought a new cable as that was grey tight.

Was expecting to replace the caliper but haven't and its passed.

But if you do replace pads etc then go against your gut and slacken the centre rod off do the job and then work it up and down and push the foot pedal and then nip the rod up again to suit.

Bloody Ford.
