Have you got a block diagram of how the gearbox works?
Is it a simple process or do things need to be timed? Are there safeties that need to be incorporated?

And most importantly do you have all the different coloured lamps?

I'm sorry but it will have to go from green straight to red alert (with a brief stop at yellow for a pee) as I do not have blue bulbs

I think someone may have tried to have one of my alloys away, noticed a rumble/knocking when cornering right last night but it was too dark to check anything.
Had a look first thing this morning and found a broken wheel stud and the 3 other normal wheel nuts were a bit loose, locking wheel nut was fine though

Is possible dd but on my mk7 i was tightening the nuts up and a few of them weren't getting tight and the bolts sheared like yours, probably from being over done many times, the worrying thing was that the fact that it was easy to tighten until snap, that suggested that rather than just fail, my bolts stretched and probably split more and more, I think that I could have happily just left it and it popped off when I was driving or a bump etc. Luckily they are hub centric so only needed to keep the wheel on the hub.

There are ppl with wellers on that the centre isn't touching :? Not Ned though he's sensible :P

Removed the bulkhead, fitted a load area carpet and started the look for a single passenger seat and the inevitable unicorn poop doorcard

I installed a home made Nixie tube based speedo & clock. Clock changes to speed on the move :-) Don't know why but it amuses me no end.

Finally found the cause of the squeaking rattling noise coming from the engine bay, t'would appear my alternator is on borrowed time :( or at least the bearing are.

Is yours a Mk6 or 7?

I only found the fault when I put the heated screen on, it was dark, all the lights and heating on, then as soon as I pushed the heated screen button the valtage droped and it started squealing and rattling

Mk7 suffer from crank pulley breaking (usually rattle a few weeks before)

Wonder if it's the bearing in the alternator is dry, if it only does it when hot, mines all the bloody time :?
