Hi,
on my 2.4 TDCI 85 Kw RWD, yesterday and today I managed to replace the rear differential oil and above all the front brake discs and pads!!!
It was a hard job but in the end I did it!
I also changed the brake fluid; I'm tired but I enjoyed it ...
Sorry I didn't take pictures!
Ad maiora...

Threaded bar and some nuts looks safe to me.

Also took Mr Airthies advice and put some washer in the sld middle roller, I can almost open the door fully now, almost as it could do with 1 more washer but the bolt isn’t long enough, bloody ford.

Don't know about mk6 but the mk7 140 fwd has .....now cam yer self doon girls....... a thicker shaft ,
Mr N I've a good 140 cv joint if you want to try that on ??

Don’t forget to use plenty of lube to make sure that shaft slides in nicely

It makes sense these higher power vans have a manly shaft, think mine is a 34 or 36 spline shaft (not easy to count) is the mk7 cv the same as the mk6 that is the question,

Aye it might be worth seeing if it fit, if it does I’ll know which one to order, let us know when you plan on getting the Ramadams and I’ll leave them under the bush at the front in my house

Well the morning is not quite going to plan, went out to get some diesel in the blue one. Got to the end of the road, hit the brakes and was ok then nothing.
Burst a brake line and of course I’ve not got time to repair it before the mot

I would be happy to add some of my woes and learnings. That said this forum had some great snippets of information on the ABS faults to help me along. I did end up changing an ABS module out but that wasn't the fault.

As to changing out front lowering ball joints I am sure there was a better way to do it. Oh, one of the CV boots dropped off during test causing a right mess.

Out through the other side now!

Depends on how you changed the lower ball joint to whether there’s a better way of doing it
