Aye that’s what worries me, I’ve just been underneath and although it’s rusty it looks quite solid, the factory under seal is peeling, if it doesn’t fail on rust then I’ll clean up the underside and treat it so it doesn’t get any worse, I’m hoping the egr doesn’t be a b*stard on Friday and put the engine light on, also the brakes don’t feel great, might bleed them tomorrow.

More what I haven’t done today… I still haven’t learnt not to balance things around the engine bay when I’m working on it. Also lost another 10mm somewhere in there.

Lol we’ve all been there, I’m sure there is a portal to another dimension in the engine bay, once those 10mm drop there gone forever, what’s all over the floor, picture hooks?

barrel/ u-shape crimps - only reason i’d have a picture hook set near my van is to use the wire to tie my hands so I can’t spend anymore money on it. i usually solder and heat shrink but apparently it can damage the pump EDC internals. been meaning to give these a go after seeing them recommended by motorsports wiring people. However, the Draper crimping tool i’ve got just seems to flatten them.

I’ve not seen them before, I normally use those heat shrink with solder in thingies.

Same. And I think a bit of heat shrink and thought about wire movement and conduit/ cloth tape to manage friction points goes a long way. However, these guys got me thinking about crimps instead: https://youtu.be/cWkLgkqMVfY

Hacked up the ash tray so I could chuck some USB charging points in, with an extra cig socket. Not sure whether to blank off the old one. I'll put in a relay and use the old cig socket as the ignition switched accessory power, maybe have some extra cab lights and install a reverse cam.

Couldn't find any affordable rails for a hand jumping in and out the van, but found some 600mm playground rails in a nice blue for cheap

While it’s a nice sunny day I decided to paint the red oxide primer silver, I know it’s not the same colour but at least it’s silver for now till I go and get the correct paint :P

Decided to do the drivers side as well,

Better for now.

Why don’t you do the wheel bearing yourself it’s not that hard, getting the bearing off the hub is the hardest part, should have it done in half a day or less.
