It’s even less fun driving a 44t curtain sided that’s empty along the M6

Do you not drive with the curtains open in windy conditions?

No Ned as most modern trailers only have a tin or thick plastic sheet roof which is only pop riveted down , so any side gust could literally blow the roof off

The trailer I’ve got on has a tin roof , but my 6 wheeler had a fibreglass roof
Mr flip flop could fold curtains back and his roof as continental trailers can do that

So I had to cut the chassis leg, remove the captive nuts and weld 2 new ones in. Then weld the chassis leg back up, then it was mot time and she failed on 2 front tyres which I replaced and retested with a pass. Welds look a bit rough but they are strong and I put a plate in behind to reinforce it a bitImageImageImageImageImage

It does look better than that now just not took any more pictures, it was ground back and welded again then sprayed silver as that is all I had and just wanted to protect against rust. Still gonna grind it back again and set the welder up properly, get it looking good then paint it properly but working 6 days doesn't make it easy

Fitted 2 x front shock absorbers, 2 x front coil springs and 2 x front top mounts. Then carried out an alignment...

Did it need them or just pre maintenance? 8)

I only replaced 1 top mount on mine, the arse of a job it was and the fact that the original was mint made it pointless doing the second :?

Plus cutting the carpet made me cry

The N/S/F shock absorber was knocking internally , and the coil spring on that side broke on Wednesday morning. So I just decided to replace the whole lot both sides, seeing that they was the same age and covered the same amount of miles.

Finally got around to doing the rear disks and pads on the Tango van. Plus swapped out the track rod ends, which cured the rattling :D

MI 5 sacked me from my job as an interrogator this morning, didn't like to ask why :?
