Done my headlight mod, went Ford Frozen white with black inserts. Didn't want halo's in as they are what everyone is doing with all black surround, so colour coded it was.

Spent most of the day trying to do a leak off test on the mk7. Come up with this little bodge using a Mk6 pump to bleed the fuel system...

Turns out I need 2 injectors Image

Fitted these bad ass alloys today.

Those alloys always look so good on a mk7!

Sat at the side of the road, as a small lower hose blew out... which made my Transit pee its water onto the road... Didnt see the temp gauge off the scale, until the power dies off due to heat. Couldnt get the expansion cap off, and the insides broke away. Tried to remove it and got me rag off, and forced it inside, so I could top up the water... only to find in pee'ing itself again.

Luckily I was only 3 minutes away from the Ma'in'law's.. Took off the hose, and cut off the end, and refixed. Gave it a run, only to find the radiator is staying cold. So I bought a water pump and replaced it this afternoon. Only to find the radiator wont warm up... so took off the thermostat housing, to find half of the spout still inside the housing. Damn thing has corroded and left part of itself inside the spout. Anyway, tested the thermostat in a pan of boiling water, and it doesnt open. Thats why the rads staying cold. Oh well...

New thermostat housing, expansion tank, cap and new pipe ordered... That was an eventful day...

Least you seem to have avoided catastrophe.
You don't need a stat in uk in this weather so if you get stuck you can cut the middle out of it as a temporary measure. :D
