Changing Headlight Bulb Help?

Just changed the offside headlight bulb but am having trouble with the nearside due to all the stuff in the way. Does anybody have any tips on how to do this?

Patience, persistance and a lovely set of grazed knuckles.

Or remove the hole headlight unit. Then the bulb is easier to change.

Removal and Installation

Removal




1. Detach the air cleaner outlet pipe from the intake manifold.

2. Remove the air cleaner housing. For additional information, refer to Section 303-12 Intake Air Distribution and Filtering.




3. Remove the headlamp assembly retaining bolt.




4. Remove the headlamp assembly (headlamp assembly shown removed for clarity).

Disconnect the headlamp assembly electrical connector.


Installation

1. NOTE:Clean the headlamp lens with a damp cloth to avoid any electrostatic charging which attracts dust to the plastic lens.


To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. Adjust the headlamps. For additional information, refer to Headlamp Adjustment in this section.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll go the grazed knuckles route...

you'd be better going with the official headlamp removal route.

It takes less than 5 minutes to get the headlight out
