i have a 2007 lwb 350 rear wheel drive with 2 batteries under driver seat. recently had problem with starting van and needed to jump start it, did this no probs. I think that its the rear battery that does the starter motor and Hazard lights, if I remember correctly and the front one is the Aux bat, check the connections on the battery .......

If you definitely have a good rear battery, then there is obviously a problem with the connecting leads :?

Have you tried jump starting to the jump start point under the bonnet, and an engine earth :?:

hi yes have good back battery brand new and fully charged have tried jump start as suggested still totally nothing when try to start engine ... all ignitition lights on etc can hear a relay clicking under drivers seat (presume its a split charge relay) . Am i right in thinking if its starter motor thats knackered it could at least click on ignition key in crank position ?

Not necessarily, it could well be the starter, or the wires going to it, if you've definitely checked all the battery connections :?

 Check to see if you have voltage on the starter terminals :|

+1 if the solenoid is knackered or the trigger wire is broken lose you won't hear a click

It does sound like a loose or corroded connection, able to power low current, but will not pull a high load. Check the connections on the starter, I thought mine was knackered, turning slow for weeks, then died! But after a clean up and replacing the connecting nuts it's like new. :)
