Cruise Control??

Postby WhiteVanMan666 » Tue Jul 26, 2005 1:10 am

Hi all, I own two 04 reg 350 115PS transits and im wondering if anyone has had cruise control fitted to a Ford Transit (new shape) I know this is possible as I retro fitted cruise control to my car but needed to programme the Can-Bus (some part of the ECU) to make it work.

can anyone help on this subject or is anyone intrested in having it fitted? as you save a fortune in fuel, speeding tickets and right sole shoe wear! etc

cheers

Meant to say welcome, and I wish you were nearer cos I need somebody to look after our roller shutters after our local roller bloke retired! Can't help with the criuse control thing though!

Thanks for that, you can get me through our A to E site, address at the bottom of my post! Our main prob at the mo is older shutters not going up level, creating wear on one side (not to mention looking bad). We have replaced 3 of our shutters with a completely new curtain/roller, but around £300-400 it's cheaper to replace the smaller (standard 10ft) bodies with a good 2nd hand body!

Cruise Control

Postby Terry » Fri Dec 02, 2005 10:11 am

Hi White van man,
I have on 03, 2.4 and have had a cruise control fitted.
I bought the kit from Conrad Anderson, in Birmingham,
but the 'pedal fxing' was incorrect, so I had them fit it.
They made up a new bracket to fit the pedal, mine was their first
Mk 6 fitting. Someone on here mentioned a cruise control from them
that was just a 'pedal lock', mine is what I would call a normal cc,
it does all the Ford one fitted on my Scorpio does. I've got to have a look
at the pedal fitting as the cable appears to snag at a little higher revs
than idle. Hope this helps, anything else I can help with let me know.
Terry
I got a little black book with me poems in

you could also try mailing http://www.howard-may.co.uk to see if they have a kit which will fit.
