BCM replacement

Postby bar891 » Tue Nov 26, 2013 12:33 am

2008 Ford Transit 2.5 diesel
Replaced BCM with new genuine unit
Programming with genuine ids & software
When trying to initialize module, it says it can't read as built data
I downloaded as built data & is in the correct folder in ids but IDS still can't find it
Am i doing something wrong?

Many Thanks

I don't think a 2008 will have a 2.5 engine.... :?

IDS is probably trying to read the as built from the BCM, which does not have it. There is I believe a backup copy in the instrument cluster. I don't think the problem is reading the version on the pc.
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

If the BCMii has to be replaced for any reason, the backup ccc data stored in the Instrument Cluster must be programmed into it.
Select <Program the new master module….from the backup module.>. Press the tick
Follow the instructions on the IDS. The application will retrieve the vehicle data and then download it to the new BCMii
