bleeding fuel system

Postby karl » Thu Nov 28, 2013 6:09 pm

Their must be a easy way to bleed these systems

Am currently working on a 55 plate 2.0 tddi

I've changed the pump for a new recon pump and it just won't go n got codes p1665, po149 and another

It was the crank sensor not connected after taking the timing pin out

Now cleared all codes but still none start

An before everyone says yes it was a virginesed pump and followed the book to programming it

Nope, just bleed it then it will start. The time it will take to get it to start without bleeding it properly will be alot longer than just doing it right

Grenade pump inline between filter and pump. Remove return and force fuel thru until it flows out. Re fit return. Crack injectors. Pump until fuel flows out with no air. Turn engine over by hand and pump again. Tighten injectors and start engine
