No you need the bcm ending in c- then the steering wheel, then you need to check that you have the wires going from the column end of the squib to the bcm, if you don't you need to make some up, after that you need modified software programmed in so you can have cruise enabled.

If I've got auto lights, wipers and heated seat do you reckon it would have the higher end bcm and if I have then vantuner should be able to program that and outside temp?

Your squib is different yes, what car is it off?
Does the grey and red cruise wires go to the top connector? Thus pic looks like they are missing, it looks like the horn on the right and the srs is on the left.
You should unplug the bottom connector it isn't needed, the top connector is like this.

And for the benefit of anyone else, wheni refer to the bottom connector at the squib i mean the input connector located underneath it behind the lower steering column shroud.

Squid is factory as far I know, im the second owner and can't see the AA fiddling with it :D

So I need to split the second connector that ive plugged into the bottom one. And insert it into the top connector.

Yes, if you have all that then 99% you'll have the wiring, as did vantuner, fit the steering wheel, clocks, indicator and temp and martyn will program it all to work.
As i said the steering wheel will be plug and play in terms of wiring.

It's all confusing what you have done lol, it should have just beena case of you gettinga cruise steering wheel, unplugging yours and plugging the cruise wheel connector into your squib, and unplug the bottom connector, what was it wired to then when you removed the original wheel?
I imagine all you would have had was the horn black and brown and then the airbag wires?

The part number will probably be on the underside, 4 tiny torque screws on the top :(

Nothing was in the bottom one, like you say just air bag, horn live + earth.

Its been a long day, won't be surprised if I beep the horn tomorrow and the air bag goes off

Cheers, it's just that photo you put up earlier had too many wires and looks like wires at the lower connector on the steering wheel side, have a look at sopranos pictures further up, that is how they should be, you should be using the cruise wheel connector that has the wires there already, then all you have is a double spade brown and a spade black, yours had grey and also white i think which is why i thought you had the elusive double connector squib.

Also the 2 wires i sent you have nothing to do with the top side at the wheel, they go bottom side of the squib.

Soprano it is very simple, Chris has a 1 off squib.

When you take the airbag of yours you'll see the black and brown wires, so remember where they go on the new 1 as they are for the horn the same as yours.
The new wheel connector with buttons is plug and play and so is the airbag connector.

This is what I meant - there is a plug - but has no pins inside ?
