From the fact everyone has told me to stay away from remoulds i will. As long as clearance is good. Ill be happy. Im just fed up of running on a mix of tyres. and want them to match. The tyres
I listed are 8 ply, which is the same as what I currently have.
Those kumho tyres you mentioned are beasts! Do they drive across the moorland in those transits ?

I just installed bigger wheels on my MK7,I found 4 ex Land Rover modular wheels 7” wide, which I have to redrill as well welding a new spigot flange to make them fit on transit hubs.
The tyres I have are Cooper all terrain 255x7.5x16”.
To install them I have to add a 35 mm struts on front shocks and changing the rear leafs springs with heavy duty ones, once I have done that it wasn’t enough, rear arches with reinforced leafs springs wouldn’t have any problem but the front body arches and bumper would hit the tyres so I handed with an angle grinder and reciprocating saw to wide them up,I was happy with results but then by testing the steering I have noticed that on the left side only the tyre hit the windshield washers bottles protection.Tomorrow I am going to install universal plastic wheels arches and I will study how to relocate the washers bottle.
I can say so far it hasn’t been an easy tasks putting on my van the bigger tyres but when I look at it I forget all the effort, once done it properly it will be awesome.
