Postby Daveathome » Wed Apr 11, 2007 9:14 pm

Hi all, Well I bought the 125/350 Jumbo 53 plate, well pleased with her,

But as there always is a but I have a Vibration between 2000 and 2500 revs, not much but should i be concerned about it. its done 96k but had a new engine 12k ago fitted by ford.
PS..........what a great van the mk6 is I should have got one ages ago.

looked into this a wee while ago, vibes and rattles. Rumbles on low revs could be a DMF Problem. Flywheel breaking up and causes a rumble on lower revs :( Dont Quote me though as the vibe you say could be anything. The way i look at it. Think the worst and anything less is a Bonus :D

This may seem stupid does it happen at a set speed it could be ur wheels need balancing or the tracking might be out, just an idea

thats what i did 1st had all tyres checked and balanced, it happens most when in 5th, say 1800 revs and i put my foot down a bit not to the floor and also when pulling up a steep hill, ie when the engine is working a bit

rpm to road speed sounds about right.

Have you checked the condition of the rear prop shaft universal joint?
it's a greased item on service on certain builds of Transit, but it's often overlooked.
