another foglight question, easy one.

Postby stuartrobbie » Thu Apr 12, 2007 9:11 pm

i won foglights on fleabay the other day, my brother is a sparky and says he will manage to wire it into the 'side/dip/fog' lightswitch.

simple question... in transit with front fogs is this where it is or is there a seperate switch? i was planning a seperate switch but i have a few switched dotted everywhere anyway.

i always thought the front fog lights couldnt go on unless the rears were on so this would mean a seperate switch?

also what is the wiring like on it, live and earth? 2 cables and what size are they? thanks, i am struggling for time see and thats why i want to do wiring now while i can

I got my foggys from flebay to, when the fogs come standard they are in corporated in the main side/dip light switch, Mines are wired into the main beam wire so they act as spotlights, I also put in a seprate switch so a can turn them off. Legal requirement a told. Easy to wire in tho,

they're illegal anyway - any headlights/foglights/spotlamps fitted below bumper level can only be used in fog or falling snow
