hi,

sorry if this is the wrong section. i have search but been unable to find what info i am after.

i need to know if it is possible and safe to put a child seat in the front seat of a new shape transit van for a house move.

Do you have passenger airbag?

it will be a rental van, so un sure but can find out. i didnt know transits had them actually, its all rather new to me.

Airbag is normally the only problem.

so as long as there is no airbag or it has been disabled it is safe to use a child seat.

Child seats and fitting can be quite complicated, as long as the child seat fits as described in the manufacturers instructions and there is no air bag or it's off then all should be well.

well ive fitted my child seat into a mk6 only difference was it would only fit in the far left seat not in the centre place where i have it in my mk4 :D
