Warranty length ?

Postby Milemuncher » Wed May 09, 2007 10:06 pm

Have just realised, van is going in for service next Saturday, and it will be 2 years and 1 week old. Please tell me it is a 3 year warranty. Never really worried about the exact date as there hasn't been any real faults, just getting it in on any Saturday was more important.

The viscous fan has just started last weekend to grate like an old hamster wheel. Just searched on forum and found £100 plus for replacement otherwise.

Here's hoping..........................

In the month before it ran out mine went down hill rapidly
Various faults incl
Shockers
Drivers window
mpg down to 220 a full tank ( not loaded) due to putting 16" wheels on  :? . parameters changed ?? ( 450 - 520 a tank now)
back doors not catching shut
Side doors not closing fully

Cheers guys, three years it is.

Dealer was convinced that it should also have been eligible for free servicing as all retail vans at that time were. I know it wasn't as I enquired at the time, and due to it not being registered by a Ford dealer it was excluded, even though it was pdi'd by main agent.

Anyway, the viscous van is faulty, one on order for later in the week. Service not too bad at £169 either.
