MK 6 LX Rear parking sensore fault....

Postby powerwash » Sat Apr 11, 2015 9:46 pm

Hi, I have a mk6 tdci with factory fitted rear parking sensors that don't work, I have trawled the old posts with no avail as my symptoms seem to be different...
When I put the van into reverse I hear a beep of about a second or so then nothing, no beeps at all, here is what I've tried and a brief breakdown of what is happening with things....
* I noticed the parking sensor 'off' switch had been disconnected so I plugged it back in and the light saying 'off' comes on and stays on when you push the button in or out, tis is only when your in reverse though, when in any other gear the light can be turned on or off as normal
* Only one of the parking sensors in the bumper has the 'ticking/pulsing' noise which indictates that one works but none of the others work, however, if I pull one of the none working ones out and place it in the working port then these too work, indicating that all the sensors are fine but only one port seems to be getting a signal

So there you have it, if anyone can shed any light on this it would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi, I have 4 working parking sensors now but one of them isn't getting a message, there is 1 live feed going to the sensors and they all seem to branch off that, where is the control box for these?
Thanks
