Postby trebor1989 » Sun May 17, 2015 7:06 pm

Hi all,
Have searched for this for a while just so i didnt waste anyones time, if anyone can put me onto a thread i would appreciate it but here's my problem.

Van was parked up for 18 months came back to it mot'd it etc etc lost fob, found fob, fob was all coroded into itself unuseable bit of wd40 got buttons clicking still wouldnt work so bought fleabay fob. couldnt/still cant locks to cycle on van to reprogramme new fob, changed module under glove box, checked all the fuses that i could see/find in the van all ok. so i am now stuck cannot find the problem if anyone has any clues/solutions they would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

Might be worth checking every fuse you can find, did you do the procedure exactly?

Also consider a faulty eBay fob?
And do you know whether the module is plug and play? I don't but might be worth thinking about? I vaguely recall Paul2012 saying they are tho

checked every fuse and i have 3 fobs as i thought it was faulty complained to the company they sent me another and bought another from different seller just to be sure but apparently the fob has nothing to do with locks cycling. they should cycle regardless of faulty fob apparently. i assume they are plug and play will be back up the breakers but keep buying these bloody things not knowing wether theyre working or not is a nightmare.

Yes the locks should cycle, i posted that link above because a couple of members have had the same result as you with the locks not cycling etc.
I think that is your main thing to do is get them cycling And then it should be easy to pair the fob.

If it was sat for that long it could be a corroded wire or anything tho :-(

Next step would be testing for power etc.

You could send me or someone local to you the central locking module and I'll tell you if it works. The fob has nothing to do with the cycle as the ignition cycle triggers the module. If the module is clicking it's trying to lock or unlock so there's a seized motor or wire fault or could be a bad earth
