Help electric window mk6

Postby Pricey79 » Sun May 24, 2015 7:40 pm

Hi all, I have very recently bought myself a mk6 transit (love it). Unfortunately I am having a small issue with the drivers electric window. It will go down however it will not go up, unfortunately it has gone all the way down. Does the electric window switch just pop away from the door card? Thinking of swapping the passenger switch to test it and hopefully get the window back up!

Any advice would be gratefully received
I am very new here so im sorry if this has been asked a million times before.

Easier to remove by taking the door card off, then you can easily push them out the pod.

The window circuit needs all switches plugged in to operate, so if your swapping them, plug the old one back in too :D

Also you can put 12v and earth directly onto the window motor contacts and reverse polarity to make it go the other way to rule the motor and to bring the window up for security

To keep it simple run the wires from the battery under the seat just don't touch them together by mistake

Just watch you don't get your fingers trapped or caught in the mechanism
