engine tappy

Ive got a mk7 10 plate transit 110. When I first start in morning it sounds very tappy coming from engine, is this common? Ps I've had it for 3 weeks now, my last transit was never like that. They serviced it before I bought it, would this may be cheap oil?

Timing chain rattle maybe, tensioner issue....!? Try some fresh 5/30 syth or semi-synth oil and a new filter and see if it helps...unlikely if the tensioner is gone though..!

WHAT KIND OF TAPPY IS IT ? big end , piston, tappets, injector knock .... mine has a knock that sounds a bit like a big end just starting to go but this dissapears when the temp goes over 1/4 way up like its connected to the cold start system in the ecu. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS MAY BE ? i was thinking one of the sensors but which one ?

tappets are hydraulic none adjustable

you can get knocking, tapping threw not having the prv and scv changed updates etc done

but i hear these nearly everyday now if it is something to worry about or just leave

best thing to do is post a you tube video of the noise

Does it still do it when you press the clutch in ?
