Hill start assist

Hi

Is there a way to disable or unplug the hill start assist without it effecting anything else?
I find it more of a hindrance than a help to be honest, I find easier on the clutch just to use the handbrake

It can be disabled using Ford ids

There's no difference on clutch of you use handbrake or HSA

Hold all pedals? luckily I'm hung like a tripod so that shouldn't be a problem haha cheers mate

In normal circumstances I would agree but I kept my 5 speed box and fitted a 3.71 axle so pulling away on a hill is slightly different now. The HSA works but tends to release before I've got the bite of the clutch so therefore I end up riding the clutch slightly.

If you apply the handbrake hsa turns off anyway
