2002 125PS Van is a pig when cold!

2002 125PS MWB model

Van drives great, but when cold revs/drives rythmically as if Im pressing/releasing the accelerator.

Ford reckoned cleaning the EGR according to codes so I took it off and cleaned it myself (seemed fine)- no difference afterwards.

glow plug light has now started flashing when turning ignition on- stays flashing unless I switch off and restart once warmed up.

Any suggestions people?

if the MIL is flashing, get the fault codes read and go from there.

The EGR valves can be a problem, but cleaning them rarely works with any degree of success.

Air ingress into the fuel system could also bring on the same symptoms and usually flag up P0211 and P0251
