hi got a transit sport 130 57reg never serviced at ford 70k miles is it worth having it done there for updates etc heard it causes problems loss of power etc

If you are happy with how it runs now then just get a fuel pump and injectors learn

yeah runs spot on, only thing is its started cherping from egr when turned off,

That's fine if it gets worse the engine warning light will come on then you'll know to replace the egr but it could do it for a long time.

As the owner of a 130, I would advise that you do get it updated, the 130 is well known for over fuelling and melting Pistons, the later software is supposed to help prevent this.

A couple of lost horses is a lost less annoying than a knackered engine!
