uprated heavy duty transit springs

i have a new dropside pikey wagon added to the fleet, i notice the rear leaf springs arent as beefy as my tippers springs. so who do people generally recommend for uprated heavy duty versions to ensure all of my fillings fall out when im not pulling a digger around?

I am more than happy with Paddington Springs in Wembley
But remember, whatever you have done to your springs, you still can't exceed your maximum payload allowance as stated on your logbook/sticker inside the passenger door frame

hi andy thanks for the helpful reply. i stay right on the full capacity almost constantly, and the vans are a little wallowy, if im going to replace these springs i may as well go full metal jacket. i have seen a 4-1 set but i assume these are for the 430 transits? and maybe genuine overkill, any thoughts?

Is it a twin wheel jobbie?? Might be OK to go with the 430 springs if they fit, at least you'll know you can carry a decent load without stressing them. How the rest of the machine will handle it is another matter..!

knobby, my worry is similar. im going to call jones springs, they sell these on ebay, see what they reckon, they will defo have the answer im sure

I've always used "owens sprints"

they have depos all over the place

a helper spring, plus longer U bolts to go around the springs always makes a massive difference
