2004 transt 2400 no power

hi pls can someone help,i bought this van from Manchester the other day.first I thought its cold so maybe be quicker when warms up.ive later realised when you start it up and pull off the turbo comes in and its normal then after a second or so it loses power and wont rev above 4000 turn key off and back on revs fisrt time and drops again.been put on diagnostic machine this morning and read something like fuel pump requests lower fuel no light on.cleared codes went up the road in first like a rocket as soon as I changed to second dropped back down and lost power again pls can someone help im pulling my hair out
