Ecu for a mk6 aren't too expensive and neither is the pump coded so it's worth doing in my eyes.
Whilst were on the subject with mondeos will the fmic be the same then as I want to upgrade this before a map
Iv heard before that you can use 125ps turbo and injectors from
The 2.4 tddi for bigger results not sure on this tho maybe someone can confirm ?

2.4 125ps TDDI uses a Bosch VP44 fuel pump. which is different to the 2.0 TDDI VP30 pumps :!:

As for 2.4 turbo, air intake is bolted onto to it which differs from 2.0 TDDI's

A No mondeo mk3 intercooler don't fit mk6's . Mk6 intercoolers have a MAP sensor bolted to them

8)

MAP sensor could be located although it would have to be mounted somewhere in the pipe work between intercooler & Inlet manifold.

Map sensor circled in pic below

Yes mine mk6 has a mk7 front end fitted. Intercooler is still is the same position

Yours is a 2.4 & will have MAP sensor

Locations of sensor depends on engine Type (TDDi or TDCI) & year.

Some 2.4's MAP sensor is on pipe from intercooler to EGR/inlet manifold.
Others have a IAT sensor on EGR valve body. Just above that sensor will be a small pipe (like a vac pipe). On other end of pipe will be MAP sensor

Mondeo mk3 90ps & 115ps engines use the same turbo (1S7Q-6K682-AF). That is the only one that will Transit mk6 85ps & 100ps from 2000-2002 only.

Mk6 TDDI's from 2002-2006 exhaust manifold is different.

If you looking to increase engine power. To be blunt, changing turbo will not make any difference.

For example
2000-2002 MK6 2.0 TDDI 85ps engine use the same turbo (1C1Q-6K682-DB) on the 100ps engines
2002-2006 MK6 2.0 TDDI 85ps engine use the same turbo (2C1Q-6K682-BE) on the 100ps engines

Who doesn't like digging up an old post? I need to change the turbo on my 2004 2.0 85Ps (F3FA) and read the plate with 1S7Q-6K682-AF and red top barcode label has 09020 (so later that the 2000-2002 paul2012 says here). Everywhere I search this is a Mondeo turbo. I wanted to get a cheap turbo from eBay and refurbish with a new cartridge to reduce the time with a turbo off the van plus I'm expecting some housing damage from the impeller.

1. Will the Mondeo turbo fit (same manifold mounting etc)?
2. Will the equivalent Mondeo oil feed/drain fit? - Need some other options as Transit listed parts are rare and expensive (£80-200 for an oil feed)
3. Is it the same GT2049S cartridge core that I need?

I don't except all answers but any help much appreciated while I keep on searching. Need to get it right as it's no longer an option for me to leave the van lying around while I wait for new parts to arrive.
