Safe cruising speed

Postby jasons » Sun Jun 10, 2007 8:30 pm

Took the transit on a camping trip this weekend, the first time on a motorway. Its a swb 280 100.I really had to keep a check on my speed as it easily started to creep towards a licence loosing area, whats a comfortable non engine damaging speed to cruise at in these vans. Thanks jay

On long runs like the Nurbergring and back I try to stay in the green sector on the rev counter which helps economy no end But if in a hurry cruising at 80 to 90 is easy ( SWB 130 BHP Mk 7) but economy suffers drasticaly !
