2.4 tddi egr

hi all van running good , but sometimes lack of power,,especially up hilsl on the motorway,, if i stop and turn off ignition and start it again it seems to reset itself and more power is there?????? weird ??? could it be the egr dirty? 2.4 tddi engine 90 hp,,anyone had this,, all the pipes around the erg are intact and connections are good

I have this some times plenty of go in fact damn rapid for a van, most times nothing special, but I know i have a problem that is waiting for funds will see after that is replaced to see if it cures it.

Told it may be the rocker arms need replacing .....ill post if its that

?.... did you get that from a reliable source? It sees very unlikely that that would cause an intermittent problem.

After checking the rocker arm they were ok , then they change the fuel pump and injectors same problem , turns out was pipe going to the excorced gate on the turbo , pull off cut 10 mm off and replaced like a new van .

All I need to sort out now is way I’m getting crap fuel economy....

How is the egr solenoid mine just failed and gave same symptoms replaced and all seems good just got to replace the turbo as that's worn as well it's worth a look.
