new manifold turned up delivered for about £125, so i was happy till i opened the package to see it's not the correct type Anyway i have returned it and i'm hoping they will source me the correct one asap

this is a pain in d'arse as they cannot source me the correct manifold.

Ok a chap that sells EGR deletion kits on Ebay (Bertye1958) came to my rescue and found me the correct inlet manifold Will report back when i have cleaned it up and fitted it.

A used replacement inlet manifold fitted and the difference is amazing. The Van is quieter and the torque improvement is very welcome when she's laden with wood chip and towing the chipper. I think i'll leave it standard and not go for a remap as i maybe pushing my luck on such an old engine? Hopefully this is the end of this saga...

Thanks Aidy. I did spy a mint low mileage MK7 recently but i'll hang onto this MK6 for the time being.
