***NOTE*** This is only a draft released by DVSA & more testable items will be changed/added.
There are changes for head lamps, Fog lights & DRL's. Although I thought it was more important to point out the major rules.
I've already posted up the new diesel emission test, Where vehicles will be test against manufacturers limits on another thread - But are included in a screen shot here

Defects will be in categories
MINOR - advisories (PASS)
MAJOR - MOT Refusal (FAIL)
DANGEROUS - MOT Refusal (Fail & prohibited to be used on the road)
Diesels
"Diesel particulate filters (DPF) should be checked for evidence that the DPF has been removed or otherwise tampered with. Where a DPF canister has clearly been cut open and re-welded, it should be rejected unless evidence can be provided that the canister was cut open for legitimate reasons, such as filter cleaning."
New rule for emission control systems - DPF, Diesel oxidation cat, SCR cat, SCR valves, EGR valves etc
Emission control equipment fitted by the manufacturer missing, obviously modified or obviously defective - Major defect
Exhaust on a vehicle fitted with a diesel particulate filter emits visible smoke of any colour. - Major Defect
Engine MIL inoperative or indicating a malfunction. - Major defect
Petrol
New rule for emission control systems - Cats, O2 sensors, EGR valves etc
Emission control equipment fitted by the manufacturer missing, obviously modified or obviously defective - Major defect
Engine MIL inoperative or indicating a malfunction. - Major defect
Vehicles first used on or after 1 September 2002 fitted with a different engine must to tested to the requirements relating to the age of the vehicle.
If an engine has been modified in any way, it still has to meet the exhaust emission requirements according to the age of the vehicle.
I apologise if this is in the wrong section.
Really needs to go somewhere where it's most visible due to the practice of DPF/EGR deletes etc.

I will provide updates as more info is made available
