big milage or not????

Postby skyehigh » Wed Aug 01, 2007 5:49 pm

Hi all, just wondered if any one can answer a question for me,i have the chance of a (mwb) transit with a 105,000 miles on it, its an 04.What id like to know is.is this a big milage to a transit with full service history or is it nothing to bother about,is there any thing that i should look uot for when test driving the van.

what sort of milage can a transit engine do if looked after.

Many thanks to anyone that can help. :)

Do you have anymore details on the engine, ie. is it a 2.0 or 2.4 litre and also the output.

my transit did 286k before a faliure, you should get between250-300k from a transit, but still you should get more than that from a japanise engine,is it isuzu?they recon you should get a million miles out a isuzu motor!!,i know of some one who had a toyota hiace that did 405k before he sold it..look through auto trader fpr saab 900 tubos, there average milage is over 200k,modern engines should do over 200k.

you would think that with what you pay for these vans that 400000 kms would be common place if you look at toyota deisels etc this is nothing

oh and those crappy rear doors that let water in when you hose it
