Rear light problem, MOT on Monday!

Postby harryc » Fri Aug 03, 2007 12:27 pm

Hi there, trying to sort out our work van (2003 transit) before it goes in for its MOT on monday but been having a few problems with the rear lights. Reverse light doesnt work neither do the rear lights (when dipped/main beams are on) but the indicators do. We have checked all the fuses and they're fine, although there's no current through the circuit for the rear bulbs when its put in reverse or when the lights are switched on. Running out of ideas any help would be greatly appreciated!

As far as Im aware reverse lights are not tested (not sure about that) have you checked all fuses, another issue is with the galvinised bulb plate as it rusts where the connector goes on, reminds I must sort my right side out.......again but think I'll solder wires direct

Re reverse lights, mine packed up in Spain, all the way through africa nothing then out the blue in November last year they decided to work again and boy did I test wiring switches and so prior to that, still not sure what made them come back on but I hope they decide to stay....
