Transit mk7 wobble

Postby Solardog » Sun Sep 09, 2018 10:13 am

Hello
Having a persistent problem with my fwd swb mk7. Accelerating between 40+50mph in fourth and fifth results in a side to side wobble. It started at about 90,000 miles now on 140,000. Its had new tyres front and back, wheels swapped front to back, both drive shafts renewed, wheel bearings checked, track rod ends checked, engine mounts checked and because it is between 40 and 50 in fourth and fifth and has been on going for the last 50,000 miles pretty sure it isn't clutch related.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm sick of being shaken to bits.
Many thanks

Have you checked the prop shaft centre bearing? Does it vibrate or literally wobble?

Were the complete drive shafts replaced, or just the outer joints..??
