Info needed

Postby abiolayunis » Sun Sep 09, 2018 6:07 pm

I really appreciate the load of supports experts in this forum keep doling out. I have learnt a lot since coming aboard. Thumb up to Knobby and others.
I have been intimated with how badly I need to have the Ford IDS to meet the everyday demands of the new generation of the Transit. However, it will take nearly a fortune for me to get it in Nigeria, especially considering the crude way people prefer to get things done here. Further research pointed me in the direction of a closely related diagnosis tool by Scantool Direct named Maxiecu Ford Diagnostic Tool. https://www.scantool-direct.co.uk/ford- ... -tool.html

Does anyone know how effective this is as I plan ordering for one soon? Thanks

Scantool direct also sell the elm327 for a lot less (about £20), with the elm327 you can down load forscan to a laptop for free, I also believe (from Punto443) you can download ids for free (not sure if that works with the elm327 though.

Good to know pal. Thanks for the info but I'm kinda worried on whether I can do injector programming with ForScan. What does the IDS have that is left out in ForScan?

Now I get it. Thanks but it's damn too costly to get it here in Nigeria. I'll walk my way through with ForScan though.
