Funny you should say this.... I just took out the dolly jig from the lathe and cleaned up the old one and fitted it. Now both are done. And the originals took a while to turn up before.
Having just pressure washed all the plastic trim and ducting from the cab I was packing up and remembered half the door card is missing from the side door and stuff has a habit of sliding off the top of the toolbox shelf if I corner hard and ends up inside the door, and just as I was shutting the door seconds ago I remembered this fact and guess what.... it was in the van all the time
Ah well I've got a spare Now

Well time to head home and put the shafts and diff together and maybe even get it fitted

Ok, so....
I received my shafts sourced new spring clips, started putting them together and guess What? There not the same as the old ones paying lots of money and waiting weeks they've messed up the shaft diameters in the middle.
It's not a huge issue in it's self, it may well work ohkaye but it's just not right!

So do I...
build them up and run them anyway?
or
get them to make them properly?

The sections where the cv boot locates is too narrow so gater will be squashed & where it sits is actually too big in length and at one end the spider goes too far onto the shaft.

Bloody hate relying on other people to do jobs and they make an arse of it!

Efity efin effs for efs sake. It's not that hard to copy something is it?

And the other guy making the propshaft apparently never noticed that the weld on one end of the tube is all porous!
My 10yo can weld better than that. ImageImageImageImageImage

Stripped the newly build drive shaft and cv joint to send them back so they can get to work making 2 the right shape

Then tonight I tried the front propshaft in for size. got quite an angle on the diff end (but knew that wo
It fits but it's uld be) but it's a bit short I reckon so off I'll trot to the prop shop tomorrow and get him to fix his porous weld and add about 20mm that I'd called about before he had welded it ImageImage
