Fuel cooler????

Postby Joe in Oz » Mon Sep 17, 2018 4:59 pm

I checked a few things out on my new (to me) 2005 VJ Campervan the other day and came across this under the floor:

It appears to have fuel lines going in and out, but they disappear over the top of the tank, and I wasn't easily able to trace where they went from there.
I have never seen anything like it before. What is it and what purpose does it serve, please?
Cheers,
Joe

+1 fuel cooler, it's on the return line from the engine to the tank, and does exactly what it says on the tin, the common rail engines tend to heat fuel more than a DI fuel system.
