2.4 rwd won't start.

asking for a friend who has a 55 mk6 2.4 tddi

thing wont start but tries with easystart , presumably then fuel is not getting to combustion chamber right?

they are trying to get someone with a code reader to the van but does anyone have any advice regarding isolating the problem?

I've heard that that if a pump problem then sometimes the electrical part can be fixed, someone is mentioning a stop solenoid..

Does it actually run on "easy-start" or just fart a bit...?? If it runs while sprayed with easy-start we can eliminate a cam timing issue.

You really need to get the codes read....guessing can become very expensive.

Has the fuel level been run low did it to mine a few weeks back it was a pig ended up just filling the fuel filter then going for a drive. Obviously after putting 20 quids worth of diesel in it.
