High beams niot switching off

Postby antonfer7@gmail.com » Sun Oct 14, 2018 9:50 am

Hi all. I bought this 2004 Ford Transit 125 T350 van second hand with a few problems. The biggest issue now is to get the High beams off. I check the fuses, the relays, even swop the relays from high to low, removed the indicator switch arm from the steering wheel, opened it to see for burned or damaged contacts, cleaned it, put it back together, but still have the same problem. When I pull back on the lever, the low beams lights up, releasing the lever the high beams stays on. I cannot drive like this as every time somebody is approaching from the front, I have to switch to park lights and then I can't see anything, please help!

I’d try another switch

Cleaning it may not have achieved anything

Hi Ake

I already ordered another switch, as according the diagram, this is most likely to be the cause of my problem. I will check voltages before and after the switch on the wires today and keep posting until problem is solved
