central lock problem 2 in my mk6 2001

Postby thepor » Thu Oct 18, 2018 1:48 pm

Hi Guys

I am in need of a urgent help for the following:

if i try to lock the driver door i have to hold the key I have to hold tight as i can hear the others doors lock and then immediately unlock. if i go to the passenger door i have to hold tight 6,7,8 times , the slide door sometimes close sometimes not, and the back door i can hear it lock and then unlock. so in conclusion the passenger door locks if i old tight, the slide door sometimes , and the back door doesn´t lock as well the driver door. If i lock (with the key) the driver door only that one remains lock, all the others remains open. I also have the key fob but it doesn´t work as it needs to replace the battery.

regards

You got barn doors on the back?

Either the loom is broken where it goes into the door or the lock mechanism on the rear is broken, the van won't lock if it thinks a door is a jar

let us know how you go thepor.
I've had this problem a few times intermittently over the years.
Try to lock with the fob and it will lock but immediately unlock again.
Usually happens when it's really hot and parked in the sun.

1 of your door ajar switches is probably faulty.
I'm surprised that since 2000 nobody has found the central locking ajar wires at the central locking module and added a test lamp or such to make a how too which shows each door open and closed.

It is very very disappointing
