body panels

Postby andrew george » Tue Nov 06, 2018 7:29 pm

Hi, a new member here looking for some information, I need two inner wheel arches, by inner I mean I open the back doors and the inner rear wheel arches are there, I probably have the wrong terminology but cant find them on the internet. My van is an X reg 2000 mk6 has a brilliant 2.4 diesel engine uses no oil from one service to another it's the body that needs a bit of TLC, can any one advise me where I may be able to buy these from, cheers for Andy

Hello once again, by wheel arches and I probably have the wrong term if you open the back doors of the van obviously you have the place where the wheels and tyres are, over these you have a metal cover this is what I'm calling wheel arches ( if I'm wrong please forgive my ignorance ) but these have rusted through and need replacing before the MOT in March I'm just having trouble finding them and would really appreciate any help anyone can give me so thankyou in advance.

Aye I knew what you meant  is it the bottoms that have gone where they join the floor? If so dieselhead123 make the replacement parts that just need welding in

Are these the parts you need?

These are repair panels that suit the FWD Mk6/7 vans and are manufactured by us and sold in pairs, one pair is needed to repair each wheel arch. The pictures above show the parts being fitted to a van in our workshop.

hello once again ok I have photo's to better show you all the bits I need to replace, only because I'm not sure of the correct name or where to buy them as I'm assuming the ford main dealer will be a bit on the expensive side

Looks like you have a rear wheel drive van there. The complete rear wheel tubs are available from Ford, about £100 plus vat.
