Hi guys,

I'm having a massive derp.

Dude, where's my [strike]car[/strike] pollen filter? I cannot for the life of me work out how it would a: fit in here, and b: how it mounts?? It's just a regular square brick filter that would otherwise drop into a "box" as far as I can tell.

Judging by the brown rust/stain on the water tray and the intake holes in the cowl, I assume it goes there...

I went mental and then removed the water-gutter hoping it would all make more sense...but nope.

Maybe it's REALLY obvious if I had the thing in my hands...does this thing "snap" to the underside of the plastic cowl, or does it rest somehow on the water tray??

...this is really embarrassing. I feel like I'm forfeiting a man-card even asking about this... :mrgreen:

Any clues?

They don't all have pollen filters,but if it has,it's above the engine nearer the bulkhead.
There's a rectangular plastic cover that pulls of then filter slides in.
Later ones have the plastic box there,but the front edge is like pointed and does not come off.

Thank you!! Thanks for confirming they don't ALL actually have them. The plastic cover for the slide-in fitting simply isn't there on mine. Much appreciated!!

I've had a handful of Mk6s and Mk7s from poverty spec to fur-lined ocean-going 24-carat gold-plated (by which I mean 'GLX') and none of them had one.

Come to think of it, I don't actually remember seeing one yet.

Probably for the Russian Market they get all the extras :lol:
