2007 2.2 tdci. Engine flat & no power..

Postby HantenPuardon » Thu Feb 07, 2019 11:56 am

Hy, I have a problem on my 2007 Transit 2.2 QVFA EURO 4, 81 kW 210 000km

-when the engine is on idle speed sometimes it just turn off by itself
-when changing gear and the RPM goes under cca.1500-1800/min SOMETIMES there is no power, engine runs but no answer to the accelerator pedal
-when no answer to the accelerator pedal SOMETIMES the engine slowly starts to drowning and turn off and SOMETIMES it catches up and running agian normally
-after a restart everything is running properly
-diagnostics is showing only cooling fan module
-everything is happening only SOMETIMES and only if the weather is cold and the engine is hot

I tried to cut the EGR but no result.

Any ideas? thanks for the help

What code reader are you using? Edis or forscan are the best ones a lot of other are frankly crap when it comes to diagnosing sensor issues. If there is a sensor issue ie throttle pedal or camshaft sensor then a forscan will detect it. Sounds like an inferior quality code reader is being used but I could be wrong. It has been known!

Yep, a proper code read with IDS or Forscan first, then we can help diagnose.

Cutting out problems often point to a duff PRV.

That's what I meant IDS, I don't know where edis came from when referring to a code reader! :D

IDS or Forscan are what works best.

I got IDS and Delphi, can't complaint with Delphi, as it always showed me everything what IDS showed. Delphi allows you to program injectors, do pump learns, pilot corrections, set/remove speed limits, see live data. so can confirm it is pretty good scanner for ford transit
