help with crank position sensor

Postby Alanb90 » Sun Apr 21, 2019 6:46 pm

2013 Ford Transit mk7 2.2 Swb

Does any ody know if the crank postition sensor can be changed with van on driveway?
I was hoping to crawl underneath but no chance of that..
Was thinking i could get it on an axle stand and take wheel off try seeing that way.

Anyideas my van van is non start on driveway, had diagnositcs done, ford guy reckons it crank sensor.
I do not have enough wage atm to get the van uplifted to garage!
So trying it myself.

Any ideas team?

Crank position sensor fitted for £100 at garage...
Van now starts and drives perfect again...
Would always change the ignition switch first if you have these symptoms...but ignition switches and crank position sensor are usually order only parts even for garage part suppliers...the garage took 24hrs toget the part..
Unless you can get it from a main dealership or elsewhere would also phone ahead early ask the garage to book part in prior to the repair so its quicker.i still only got charged one hour labour but my van was off road longer..
Euspares.co.uk seems to be a good site for these parts,,be 5 days delivery to uk,unles you opt for next day delivery...
They ate based in berlin, lol amazing website choice and prices, and delivery tracking via email as well.
