Oil cooler

Postby seamie » Wed Apr 24, 2019 11:37 am

Morning all

While driving yesterday I noticed the temperature hand going into the red so I pulled over and discovered a leak. It looks like a stone has pierced the rad of the oil cooler.

Is it possible to change just the rad or does the filter housing and rad come as one?

The van is a MK7 FWD 2.2 transit

Any info is greatly appreciated

You can change just the rad. But filter housing needs to come off to get that done. Make sure you get both new gaskets.
